Description

The Juniper SSG-5-SH-BT is a compact, high-performance security appliance designed for small branch offices, remote locations, or retail environments that require robust firewall and VPN capabilities. Housed in a durable, fanless chassis, it operates silently and reliably in space-constrained or quiet settings. This model supports up to 160 Mbps of firewall throughput and 40 Mbps of IPsec VPN throughput, making it ideal for secure site-to-site or remote access connections. With five 10/100 Ethernet ports and two WAN interfaces, it offers flexible routing and connectivity options.

Built on Juniper’s proven ScreenOS platform, the SSG-5-SH-BT supports deep packet inspection, stateful firewalling, and advanced policy-based traffic management. It includes 256 MB of RAM and 64 MB of flash memory, ensuring solid performance for its class. The device supports a wide range of protocols and features, including IPSec, NAT, DHCP, and dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF, BGP). As a used unit, it may show minor cosmetic wear but remains a reliable solution for securing small networks without sacrificing performance.
