Description

The Cisco Meraki MS120-8FP is a compact, cloud-managed Layer 2 switch designed for small branch deployments and space-constrained environments. Housed in a fanless, sleek metal chassis, it offers silent operation, making it ideal for desktop or wall-mounted installations. This model features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports with full PoE+ support, delivering up to 30W per port and a total PoE budget of 124W—suitable for powering IP cameras, phones, and wireless access points. Additionally, it includes 2 dedicated SFP uplink ports for high-speed fiber connectivity to aggregation switches or core networks.

The MS120-8FP supports centralized cloud-based management through the Meraki Dashboard, allowing for seamless configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across distributed sites. It includes enterprise-grade features such as VLAN tagging, DHCP snooping, QoS, and port security. With a switching capacity of 20 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps, it ensures reliable performance for modern network demands.
