The Juniper MPC7EQ-MRATE-IRB is a high-performance Modular Port Concentrator designed for MX Series routers, offering a flexible and efficient solution for dense, high-speed networking environments. Engineered for scalability, this MPC supports 40GbE and 100GbE interfaces, making it ideal for data centers, service provider edge, and enterprise core deployments. It features two MIC slots and is built with Juniper’s Trio chipset, enabling advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 services, as well as inline services such as firewall, NAT, and hierarchical QoS. The MPC7EQ-MRATE-IRB is compatible with MX240, MX480, and MX960 chassis, providing seamless integration into existing infrastructure.
This model supports up to 480 Gbps of aggregate bandwidth and includes support for MACsec encryption, ensuring secure data transport across networks. With its Inline Services capability, it allows for efficient traffic management and greater network intelligence without the need for additional service cards. The unit includes dual MIC-3D-20GE-SFP interfaces, offering twenty 1/10GbE ports per MIC, and supports flexible port configurations for evolving network needs.
