The Cisco IXM-LPWA-800-16-K9 is a ruggedized Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) gateway module designed to extend IoT connectivity across large geographic areas. Built to integrate with Cisco’s industrial router platforms, this module supports LoRaWAN technology, enabling long-range, low-bandwidth wireless communication ideal for smart cities, utility monitoring, and remote asset tracking. Its compact, durable design is engineered for harsh environmental conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor deployments. The unit features a robust metal enclosure and DIN rail mounting support for secure installation in industrial settings.

Technically, the IXM-LPWA-800-16-K9 operates in the 863–870 MHz frequency band, compliant with LoRaWAN standards in Europe and other regions. It includes 16 uplink channels and a single downlink channel, offering scalable network coverage and efficient device communication. The module connects via USB to Cisco IR gateways and routers, allowing for seamless integration into existing network infrastructures.
