Description

The Cisco GLC-BX80-D-I is a bidirectional SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceiver module designed for long-distance single-mode fiber (SMF) applications. Engineered for robust industrial environments, this module supports data rates up to 1.25 Gbps and operates over a distance of up to 80 kilometers using a single strand of fiber. It transmits at a wavelength of 1490 nm and receives at 1550 nm, making it ideal for paired use with the GLC-BX80-U-I for duplex communication over one fiber. Its compact, hot-swappable design allows for easy deployment and replacement in compatible Cisco networking equipment.

This model is built to withstand extended temperature ranges (-40°C to +85°C), making it suitable for industrial and outdoor deployments. It features a standard LC duplex connector and complies with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-BX standard.
