The Infinera G30 is a compact, modular optical transport platform designed for high-capacity metro and regional networks. Built with scalability and flexibility in mind, it supports up to 1.2 Tbps of optical transport capacity in a 2RU form factor. The chassis accommodates a variety of service modules, enabling efficient aggregation of 10G, 100G, and 200G services. Its fan-in/fan-out architecture and support for Infinera’s Instant Bandwidth technology make it ideal for dynamic bandwidth allocation.

This platform features hot-swappable modules, redundant power supplies, and integrated optical amplification, ensuring high availability and ease of maintenance. Key components include the GMX-100 and GMX-200 line cards, which support a range of Ethernet and OTN services. The G30 also supports SDN control and integrates seamlessly with Infinera’s Xceed software suite for service automation.
