Description

The Calix E5-FTA is a compact, high-performance Ethernet Service Access Node (ESAN) designed for fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) and Ethernet over copper deployments. Housed in a durable, weather-resistant chassis, it supports outdoor installations in harsh environments without the need for additional enclosures. The unit features eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports, enabling high-speed data transport and flexible network configurations. It is ideal for service providers looking to extend broadband access with minimal infrastructure investment.

This model supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities, including VLAN tagging, IGMP snooping, QoS, and multicast support, making it suitable for delivering triple-play services.
