Description

The Cisco ASR-907 Aggregation Services Router is a compact, high-performance routing platform designed for service provider and metro Ethernet networks. Built to deliver high availability and scalability, this 2RU chassis supports a wide range of interface modules, making it ideal for dense Ethernet aggregation and mobile backhaul applications. Its modular design includes dual power supply slots and redundant fan trays, ensuring uninterrupted operation in demanding environments. The ASR-907 is NEBS-compliant and hardened for outdoor use, making it suitable for both central office and remote deployments.

This router supports up to 240 Gbps of switching capacity and offers flexible connectivity with support for 1G, 10G, and 100G interfaces via its modular line cards. It runs on Cisco IOS-XE software, enabling advanced features such as MPLS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, and comprehensive QoS capabilities. Key components include route switch processors (RSPs), interface modules, and optional timing modules for synchronization support in mobile networks.
