Description

The Cisco ASA5508-FTD-K9 is a robust next-generation firewall appliance designed to deliver advanced threat protection and secure network performance for small to midsize businesses. Encased in a compact 1RU desktop form factor, it combines Cisco’s Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewall with FirePOWER Threat Defense (FTD) services. This integration provides comprehensive security features such as intrusion prevention, URL filtering, malware defense, and application visibility and control. The unit includes 8 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, allowing for flexible network segmentation and high-speed connectivity.

Powered by a quad-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM, the ASA5508-FTD-K9 supports sustained throughput of up to 450 Mbps for firewall traffic and up to 125 Mbps for threat inspection. It comes equipped with 100 GB of internal SSD storage for logging and threat intelligence data. The appliance supports centralized management via Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) or on-box management through Firepower Device Manager (FDM).
